For anyone who's wondering why you should keep mint by itself, it's because mint is highly allelopathic, meaning it inhibits the growth/health of other plants.

The First Tomato!✨ 🍅✨ There's just something special about the first harvest of each fruit and veggies of the year. The first berries, the first flowers, the first tomato. YUM! I don't have a problem with birds up here, and I dont think mine, so I leave them 'maters on the vine until ripe, don't water and harvest the next morning for amazing flavor. I have so many new tomato varieties this year, I'm excited to try them! How about you? ❤

You don't need mint seeds if you already have a mint plant as it will reproduce by it's roots and it is actually really hard to get rid of it.

I warn folks to teally not grow mint from seed, tho. You dont know what you will end up with flavor wise. Or if you do grow several and pick the best scented one to keep.
My best mints were made from cuttings of good mint I found.
One is a spearmint from my old boss that is just outstanding in its flavor and strength and the other is a wild peppermint we actually found while kayaking along the river.
Both have grown outside the garden to take over their own respective areas of the yard. When hubby hits them with the mower it almost burns your eyes lol. Great for a blended mint tea

You're completely correct about mint. That stuff would be called a killer weed if it wasn't amazing lol

Any tips on growing a garden like yours? I’m inspired and love watching these videos! 😊 How did you start learning about gardening? A book or website? 😊

Tried that! You were sold out of mint seeds when I placed my order last week. I got a bunch of other seeds though (tomatoes, spaghetti squash, etc) and delivery should be today. I had previously bought your Clancy potato seeds but they were all crushed up. Hopefully today's order is all good. Didn't do anymore potato seeds though, didn't want to take that chance. Here's to happy germination as Im already sowing (zone 9B so Ill be planting early March).

You can plant more mint easily by picking stems and planting them and keeping them watered
