One of the most clear conversations with Loch! The way you continue to say : "I didn't get it" - brilliant. It made him explain it more and more

I am happy to see this Lucas.

Based on FLI podcast I am sure that you will provide a much needed clarity and depth to these important topics.

From my experience, the desire for conceptual understanding is a egoic mechanism of delaying the letting go of the ego. The only path to true understanding is experiential.

Mu whoever you are, I'm very impressed by your interviewing, your seeking truth and your humility. Next time please introduce yourself and background.
Enjoyed listening to Loch.
Also enjoyed your interview with Bernardo Kastrup. Maybe interview Ian Mcgilchrist some time. Keep up the good work.
I believe we are all part of a one. If we are we should be nice to each other as otherwise we destroy ourselves. Listening to these and other truth seeking podcast by young people gives me great hope. We truly are capable of great good and can achieve much if we put our individual minds to the good of the one. Treat others as you would like to be treated I guess.

I have been investigating on this issue of identification and belief. In my conclusion, they are just another happening occuring based on conditioning although there is still some uncertain issues with identification. And oftentimes, non identifying often leads to the stronger sense of "I" just like identifying, because both causes the illusion that I'm the doer. I've been looking for clear teaching on this for several months now but I have found none so far.

How do you know this isn't just constructing a new identity (narrated sense of existence)? Awakening is real (individuation from the egoic self). But, a lot of these social-media'ized venues(?, monetizing awareness) look egoic (highly defined, labeled, narrated, explained with exceptional precision or repetition). To me, that's what the ego would do. And, it would be the perfect place for the ego to hide ("I'm illustriously awake -- and consumed with defining it, using foreign-language buzzwords to signify I understand it in a way the average person doesn't.").

I mean this seriously. Isn't that a real risk with awakening? In my experience, the ego is pernicious & tenacious. Live as a hermit in a cave? No. Speak at great length on what I've discovered? Yes! Influencer? Yes! Books? Yes! Junkets? Yes! There's some channels (not this one) where this screams at me. They have highly-polished greenscreen backgrounds, edgy click-bait thumbnails, daily rehashing the same topics/buzzwords (for more clicks, more "metrics"). Mastering mindfulness, or mindfulness as a state of existence (against the ego's compulsion to master everything)?

I don't want to be critical. But, mindfulness, awakening, presence, consciousness (and more buzzwords I can't think of right now) don't seem that complicated or necessary to parse so finely. To me, the only part of me that would go down that rabbit hole is the ego. Not the pure self (which exists without all that). There's no "have to" about it. How do you know this isn't just more self-managed performantive (egoic) narration?
