The most popular index is the S&P 500, comprising of the largest 500 companies in the US. There are many ways for Canadians to invest in the S&P and participate in the gains and dividends, this video briefly breaks down the different ETFs available to Canadians and which account to invest in. There are also some tax issues to consider, especially when it comes down to withholding taxes on US dividends. This is a rehash of an older video I made almost 2 years ago, so for those who have been around since the beginning, this will seem familiar, but its been updated with more recent and relevant info.

OMG, I feel so dumb!😅 decided to invest in S&P for the first time in my life and I'm completely lost! Do you maybe have a video step-by-step on where to begin and what to do?
i.e. 1)Go to your bank and open such and such account
2) download this or that app to your phone and register there.
3) wire money from the bank account to your app account to purchase S&P500, 😀
Sorry, maybe it is only me who actually needs such steps to be explained but I thought it might be useful for someone like me.
