This is mainly going to affect ultimate team which is good. Right now FC 24 and 25 are the most arcade-like versions of football. Normally people don't mind that and it's a preference for some, but right now it's strictly arcade. For years FIFA was going towards more realism and featuring all the moves and shots you can do in real life, now it's just basically FIFA Street. Like most of the things you can do in the game aren't even realistic or even possible in real life.

Short answer is: yes. Whoever is active player is in the game, and the "active" fans want that. There are others like me, who prefer to make a custom league to get their own country's teams, which sure thing is not possible for quite some time.
