What is your favorite popular toy from history?

My favorite 70's toys -- Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Buddy L, Tonka trucks, Star Wars, Shogun Warriors, Wonderful Waterful, Snoopy Snow Cone Machine, The Starbird Avenger, Lionel trains, slot car sets, and assorted Fisher Price toys when I was really young in the early / mid 70's.

Vertibird! It was a helicopter that you controlled to fly around in a circle (it didn't really ''fly'' independent of the arm attached to the motor in the center). It took a bit of skill to get the speed and the ''pitch'' just right. I'm sure it would bore kids today, but even my Dad had a good time playing with mine, back in the 70's. We had the one that was on a Coast Guard ship!

My favorite toys from the 70's - Mego superhero action figures, Six Million Dollar Man action figure, Star Wars action figures, Evel Knievel stunt cycle, Mouse Trap game, Water Rockets, the Ben Cooper superhero jigglers, and the Duncan Batmobile.

What was the cars that we used to have to pull the T strip to make the big wheel in the center go I thought they were called sst's I might be wrong anyone remember? Or clackers or whizzer tops those I remember from the 70s

Clay skate and skateboard wheels fell between steel and polyurethane in the evolution. Really smooth at the roller rink, not so great when hitting a pebble on asphalt.
