DIY Fix Noisy Brake Pedal - 2013 Tesla Model S

Over time, the pressing the brake pedal resulted in a squeaking / rubbing sound that was quite prominent inside the cabin. It would occur when the brake pedal was pressed, and again when the brake pedal was released. It sounded like it was coming from inside the cabin, somewhere behind the lower trim panel. In this video, I show you how I successfully eliminated the squeaking / rubbing sound, including which trim pieces to remove, how to remove them, what to lubricate, and how to reassemble everything.

I wish I had recorded the sound of the squeaking / rubbing so you could have a clear “before” and “after” to demonstrate the difference. But I totally flubbed that part of the process. In any event, I hope this helps you.

This is a 2013 Tesla Model S 85, built in late August 2013, VIN P20,xxx, with about 98,000 miles on it as of the time of this video.

I brought my tesla 2013 model s to tesla service center for the squeaking noise at the brake pedal. Diagnostic and minor repair : $350. Replace a new brake pedal: $ 500.
