She's upset but she's got a very sweet little girl face.

Oh, poor kitty in such a state. Thank you for helping them, despite the danger.

I love that Vanessa can always tell when an animal is scared but sweet. If only they could understand she's there to help. I hope Maud was finished with her groom at home. Poor girl.

Maude is gorgeous. I love how gentle and reassuring you are even with the murderous ones.

I've done all sorts of things for my cats - brushing/grooming, occasional wash, pills, injections etc - and some WILL realise you are trying to help and the will feel better and some just can't reach that headspace. It can be upsetting to experience for sure, but important to remember your cat is fearful and reacting, and not *actually* angry. My cats have all been adult rescues so you work with what you've got. If you have kittens, it is so worth the labour of getting them acclimatised to prevent distress in adulthood.

She looked so happy in the last shot while rubbing the crate bars. Removing the mat probably hurt a bit but she has got to be feeling better with that big mat off her back! Maybe if she comes back, she will be more chill with future appointments because she knows youre there to help!!

Kitty grew her own turtle shell. Now she can take down that rotten Mario with her Princess at her side.

Poor kitty. Maud may benefit from a sedative before grooming.

You did so much good for Maude. Having that big mat off her back must make her feel so much better in the long run. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

Oh Vanessa, you do such a good job with them, regardless if you’re getting hazardous duty pay or not. We owners don’t have the tools and protective gloves etc that you do, so we wind up with scratches, the occasional bite, and our adored floofy friends not speaking to us for hours.

I love how you follow what is best for the animal you have in front of you. Kudos Vanessa (Spicy Nonna 2!) lol ❤

I keep my long haired cat trimmed short. It’s just too much hair to deal with and thankfully she doesn’t mind me grooming her.

I'm sure Maude feels so much better after getting that matted fur removed. She just didn't express it as she could have. After watching Vanessa's videos and that one video by the vet in Turkey (I think it's titled "The legend of cat attack) I get why the protective gloves are worn while dealing with angry, severally cranky cats. I really think they are more scared than angry. But that's just my opinion. I also think Vanessa is incredibly good at her job and is emphatic to each cat or dog she grooms.
