True story: once I arrived at the vet and there was a man (somewhere around 50/60 years of age) holding his own shoulder together (quite literally, he was keeping it from "dropping" since it was completly dislocated) while talking to the doctor that was trying to convince him to go to the ospital. He also had bruises on his arms and one or two nasty cuts on his head, and dirt all over his clothes and body, but he wouldnt leave, they had to call an ambulance for him. Basically while the man was on a walk with his (truly beloved) dog, a landslide hit both of them. The man had a few seconds before being hit and realising what was gonna happen he basically threw himself on top of the dog to protect her. As a results, the dog was in a bad shape but alive since the man took most of it, he then went straight to the vet close by without even calling an ambulance for himself. He had no one to take the dog if he was in the ospital that's why he did it, but still he didn't leave until the doctor told him more than once that the dog was not in danger and she was gonna be fine.
I should have specified that the dog was a small dog so she could have died if it weren't for the man
