The lavender garden needs extending. Adam spots a lavender seedling and explains how he pots these and then places them back out in the garden once they are more established and when he has the most effective place ready for them to grow. You can build up quite a range of plants from found seedlings. Sometimes plants in the garden die or need replacing so its good to have a few spares on hand or pass them on to family and friends. Again, no cost. Everything is reused and recycled right down to the reused food container that has had holes drilled in the bottom for drainage. He talks through his collection which contains a lot of New Zealand Aotearoa native plants. Another way to make new lavender plants is to take cuttings and replant them in soil. Most will 'take' and then you can replant them out in the garden once they are established.
