In my part of Canada a standard release record goes for $35 and up. I can get these from Warner Canada for about $55 - $60 each. It’s a no brainer!

Thanks for doing this. Hesitated too long on the box set waiting for a review. Only videos I saw were either from Rhino or YouTubers with free copies just hyping the release. As we all know this HIFI series from Rhino although usually good sounding are not always the best. Did not want to shell out $200 for albums that are so low on my want list that I didn''t already have any versions in any format. But since I don't have any copies and pretty much enjoyed them after hearing streams my interest is peaked. Your review verifies that these are decent releases. Now I must decide which to get. Will probably opt for at least the first 3.

This is the review I was waiting for.

I own all the OG London's, to me they sound better than Chris Bellman's pressings of First, Mud, Tejas.. the OG's sound a lot clearer. BTW, SH + KG only did Tres Hombres, with I also own in Japaleno Green. That one has the bloated bass for sure, but sounds muddy compared to the OG, the OG also wins here. If the High Fidelity has more treble and less bass than the SH, then it's closer to the OG, with crispier guitar riffs.

I'm anxious to test the box set, I also have it, according to your description it looks like a winner. For now I'm waiting for my receiver to come out of the repair shop due to a power spike.

The FOMO in the vinyl community runs deep! I imagine a lot of people had to buy this Rhino box set that hardly ever play a ZZTop release let alone own 5 albums by the band A greatest hits album will do for me
