Played this song at my son's Celebration of Life Party. The theme we chose in honor of Shane was. Take Time To Make Time! This was the message we believe he wanted to leave everyone. Make time for what's important to you. He was definitely a Take the Long Way Home kinda kid. I don't know what he might have been if he'd had more time, but whatever it was it was gonna be great!!! However in his 21 years here, he significantly left an impact on everyone he met!!! This song always made me emotional but now I can't hear it without crying for my baby. Growing up in the Deep South in Mississippi in the 1970’s, imagine the shock of my brothers when l discovered this song and played in constantly! Why? Because in my neck of the south, black teenagers didn’t listen to this type of music. You can imagine the ribbing and being ostracized by my peers in 1979 as a HS senior! I didn’t care! Music is a universal language and SuperTramp was one of my favorite groups during my senior year!!!! Rock On!!!!
