The best thing about public transport in NI is that is completely integrated.
When I took the train from Belfast to Derry the cashier gave me a daily pass for the whole of NI instead of a simple ticket and that meant that I could use every bus and train in NI for the rest of the day.
So when we arrived in Derry I saw what I wanted to see in three hours and since it was only 1 PM I told to myself that I should go to the Giant's Causeway since I've never seen that.
So I took the train back to Belfast, hopped on a bus at Coleraine that led me to Giant's Causeway, with a single ticket.

That was quite amazing.

What a surprise Belfast was, we loved it. Really great restaurants, it's easy to walk about, museums are great. The tour was fascinating, I hope things never get bad again there. Took a bus to Giants Causeway, amazing and beautiful place.

As a resident of NI (Carrickfergus, a few miles from Belfast), I have to congratulate you on an excellent potted guide to our city. VERY well presented, VERY honest - and VERY accurate! Totally agree with everything you say! Slainte!

Thank you so much for visiting our great city! So proud of how far we've come in the past two decades. I really appreciate you mentioning that we're one of the safest cities in Europe now, so little petty crime etc. I hope that all your subscribers will visit as a result of this! Welcome back any time!

All of Northern Ireland is in Ulster, but not all of Ulster lies in Northern Ireland...

As a proud Belfast man, I have to say that you've pretty much captured the city perfectly! Well done.

I'm from Belfast and this guy's assessment of our city is pretty accurate.

No idea why I'm watching tourists advice on my home city but you are pretty spot on with everything you've said.

And don't go into random pubs and start talking crap about the Troubles or picking sides. Many pubs are traditionally either Protestant or Catholic and there is still a lot of emotion, esp. after a few pints. You may find yourself in the wrong pub.
And do not be a "Plastic Paddy".

Great to see a really positive video of Belfast. Glad you all had a wonderful visit. Even us locals can get caught out by the bus lanes as some are not 24/7 lol :-)

I loved visiting Belfast and Northern ireland in general. You’re right about the vibe it gives off it was like if Glasgow and Manchester had a kid it would be Belfast. Titanic building was good, Ulster folk museum was a surprise that we all enjoyed especially about all the industrial history of Northern ireland the entrepreneurs, ship building, architects etc didn’t know about all that, for such a small place is super cool. Bars and restaurants are great too . People were so friendly. Everywhere is so easy to get to . It’s great .

What a coincidence this came up on my recommended today, I'm a Queen's University Belfast student from Great Britain and I got the chance to act as a tourist when I first moved and I completely agree with all these points, I honestly wish I had this video back in August when I was worried about visiting for the first time. I really hope this video inspires people to visit this wonderful city, it really does deserve all the love, I couldn't think of anywhere better to go on holiday.

This is a great summary of our city - it's a very friendly place and we always ensure that we make people feel welcome.

I live here and to be totally honest I thought the don'ts on this video were quite good. He seemed to cover pretty much everything except maybe one or two points. Be respectful enough not to bring up the troubles to either religion as you'll be given two versions.
Just enjoy your time in a mixed cultural city. See the sights and more importantly have a great time.

Loved seeing this video pop up this morning!!! I was so bummed that we didn’t get to go to Belfast in 2020 and I feel like I’m living vicariously through you. Maybe travel fate wanted me to watch this video first before visiting 😆

Thanks for the great guide. Instead of visiting London for the third time, I should give Belfast & Dublin a go instead next year.

Great video. Nice filming in my hood (Sandy Row).

The only “don’t” you forgot about is ……. Don’t forget to try some Tayto cheese & onion potato crisps/chips, washed down with a big glass of brown lemonade. Both staples of the “Norn Iron” (Northern Ireland) diet.

Also the traditional “Ulster Fry” breakfast is a must have. The Errigle Inn on Ormeau Road is a top tip for great pub grub and atmosphere. Ten mins on the bus from city centre. The beautiful Ormeau Park is also a good place to walk off the food & beer. ✌️🙂
