Ford Fiesta ST 2023 POV Review

Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession, and welcome to another POV Review. This time around it's all about the very green, very lairy Ford Fiesta ST, which has entered it's facelift - and sadly - final form. The new car features a snazzy front end, other subtle styling changes, a 5-door-only platform and new Ford Performance seats.

The Fiesta ST 2023 retains the same engine as before, only now it pumps out the same torque as its bigger brother, the Ford Puma. Horsepower remains unchanged at 200hp, but torque has now climbed to 320Nm - up from 290.

As before, power is sent to the front wheels via a slick-changing 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. 0-62 is the same as before, meaning you'll get there in 6.5 seconds, before continuing - where possible - to a top speed of 143mph - not bad for a little pocket rocket.

i bought a 2019 plate, fully loaded with every optional extra ford gives, i am in my mid sixties and i have been driving 50 years, i find my st3 a work of art, its fast agile handling never fails to make me feel young, cant praise it enough.!!

Just bought a 2022 St3 fiesta 5 door absolutely love it, it's quick, comfortable around town and sounds so good. The torque is very good mid range but i love it. Brilliant review everything you have said is true

They really are cracking little cars and I'd still say they're good value for money. I find the i20N just too challenging visually and the Polo GTI too dull all round. Thanks for upload.

Traded my white mk7.5 ST in a few weeks ago for a mk8.5 ST3, 3door version in Race Red with all options fitted including the panoramic roof, only 6000miles on it.
Its been fantastic so far, a huge upgrade in every way over my mk7, the seats are brilliant and it even has a heated steering wheel, thought id never use it but now have it on every journey.

I've just bought one of these also in mean green. I wanted a I20N as well but 1.9% APR verus 12.9% made the decision for me. Only covered 300 miles in it but it's superb so far 👍

Nice cars, and one that I am considering for my next purchase. I think i prefer the pre-facelift looks though. The later grille looks like the one on a transit.

Very happy with my MK8 here in Norway..like you I actually prefer how it looks to the 'facelift' (including the old style dash and controls although that is all personal) ..great pity a lot of the Mk8 features vanished with the chip shortage thing. The i20N is also a terrific car..personal choices again..they are both so good, just a little different.Great review again ....

Ford cheaped out on a lot of parts on these. And removed a few things, such as heated and power folding mirrors.
Change the battery from the tiddly EFB to a bigger AGM, fit better discs and pads, and change the gearbox oil to Ravenol MTF2, and a remap, and the car is so much better.

Thanks for the video. The i20N might be a great car but it is a chunky 20+% more expensive than the ST here in NZ. Now discontinued I know, but I'm glad I put my deposit down on the ST in Q1 of'22 before I heard the sad news of its demise. No news of when my car might be shipped but, I'm happy to wait. Must add the i20N leaves me a bit cold to be honest. Too clinical and it lacks the character of the 3cyl engine .

In my time, I’ve had XR2, XR3i, and ST1600….cannot beat a hot Ford….great review 👍

It also has forged rods because Ford wanted to decrease engine movement and noise as it’s a 3 cylinder
