The Ford Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.6l straight 3-cylinder Turbo petrol engine and delivers 200HP & 290Nm of torque. In our opinion, the 200 hp of the Ford Fiesta ST are more than enough for the car, they are fun, sporty, and comfortable at the same time. Because of the low weight the Fiesta ST accelerates very well.

The Ford Fiesta ST has a 6-Speed manual gearbox transmission. The manual transmission of the Ford Fiesta ST can be shift quickly if you want to drive fast, because it has a very fast response. The gears go very far you can reach almost 100km/h in second gear. Furthermore it shifts very easy and smooth.

Let's look at the Ford Fiesta ST fuel consumption. According to factory specifications, the manufacturers promise that the combined fuel consumption is 6l/100km. For a 1.6l engine with 200hp this is a very low consumption. But the driving style plays a big role, because if you drive sporty you can never keep the prescribed manufacturer consumption. On the other hand, if you drive very economically, you can even get below the factory specification. Further information is that the tank volume includes 42 liters.
With a full tank, the Ford Fiesta ST reaches 655 kilometers. For an everyday car sports car this is very impressive. However, you have to consider that these numbers can only be achieved if you drive economically. The Ford Fiesta ST is powered by a front-wheel-drive System.

1187Kg is very light for Ford Fiesta ST. A light weight ensures that a car consumes less. The light weight is especially noticeable in the acceleration and let the 200HP act even faster. According to the factory, the Ford Fiesta ST accelerates from 0-100 in 6,5 seconds, which is very impressive for 200hp, considering that the car is very light at 1187kg. From our own experience we can confirm that the acceleration feels much faster. The Ford Fiesta ST needs 24,3 seconds from 100-200 and 30,8 seconds from 0-200.

The top speed of the Ford Fiesta ST is 232km/h, but our test car reached 244km/h which is very crazy for only 200hp. Because of the light weight, the speed feels super-fast. We are not sure if the car is limited. The wind noise at higher speeds is comfortable.

The Ford Fiesta ST suspension is amazing. The suspension can be changed in the different driving modes. In sport mode it is hard and stiffer, and you have more feeling for the road and bumps, the car starts to bounce a little. In comfort mode, the suspension changes to soft, so you don't feel as much of the road. The handling in curves of the Ford Fiesta ST is optimal, because you can drive even at high speeds in sharp curves without understeering or oversteering. However, the cornering position is also dependent on the weight. The steering is very accurate and direct, so you do not have to steer much. Even when braking down hard from high speeds, the car behaves quietly.

The Ford Fiesta ST sound from the exhaust is very lovely. At full throttle. Nice pops and bangs appear when you get off the throttle at high revs. You can compare it to a VW Polo GTI. Please note that a car with a loud exhaust also consumes more.

The size of the Ford Fiesta ST is 4m in length and includes a width of 1,7m, which has the ideal vehicle size for daily use. This can be compared to a Volkswagen Polo GTI.

In our opinion the Ford Fiesta ST is one of the best looking modern small car which was ever built. What do you say?

Ford got the gearing perfect on this car. Absolutely love the fiesta and the ST is just an amazing little car out the box.

The top speed registered on the dash is 244kmh but, unless the speedometer has been recalibrated, it's probably travelling at more like 225-230kmh.
