she's probarbly just a little tense since you keep silently staring at her without moving your head at all

It’s so realistic. I genuinely feel like I’ve disappointed my own mother 10/10

"Some people are sick in the head" and, "Where do you hear about this stuff" are putting me on the verge of unwillingly accessing suppressed memories.

grateful for my father, who partway through X turned to me w a look of unbridled delight on his face and exclaimed "this is fucked!"

My mom's always like "that one dude who's a killer who doesnt leave his room really reminds me of you" like wow mom you can just say you want me to be more extroverted

Given how my parents react to them, I'm pretty sure my love for A24 horror movies was NOT Hereditary

My mom watches “Hereditary” during tea time sometimes… just eating biscuits and having tea as if she’s watching a cute Disney film. Absolutely sick in the head behavior 😭

Having the courage to bring your mom to a horror movie is a thing on it's own.

This was so realistic until the mother said they still loved me :'(

Your ability to play a father and now a mother is truly astounding

That first *_shakey breath_* "some people are just sick in the head" hit so hard

I like to think all humans are unique and very different from each other. Then I watch videos like this one and I realize that we all have a lot more in common than we’d ever like to admit.

The real horror is having to listen to this for about a week of your parents who will sure bring it up in the oddest of times.

The real horror was the inheritance I lost along the way.

My mother, when I was 18, asked me if I would want to go with her to watch Midsommer.

Neither of us talked again that night, and it gave me the only nightmare I’ve ever had in my life. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

As someone who watched Lighthouse with their mom because I genuinely didn't know what it was about and "hey mom you like horror right this looks and sounds like horror it'd be fun"

I felt that

Bold of you to assume my mom would actually go to see a horror movie.

this except the movie was everything, everywhere, all at once. my mom kept saying how weird and confusing the movie was and by act 2 she fell asleep while i was crying my eyes out so it really made the whole experience better 😭😭 love her tho, only reason she watched it with me was because it was my birthday.

This is the opposite of the grandma who is like "Don't tell your parents I showed you this horrifying film when you were 8. Here's 10 dollars." Shout out to all the grandmas out there.
