4:15 I think I know why the kitchen exploded. That looks to be a wood stove. My hypothesis is that they either filled it with something very flammable, like gasoline, or the stove was burning too much so they closed the air intakes. This resulted in the stove filling with flammable gasses that can't ignite due to the lack of oxygen. Then the woman introduced open flame and oxygen, and the stove and chimney went boom boom. I had a wood stove detonate on me once. It wasn't anything even remotely similar to this, but it was still hilarious.

I don't think the woman who got paint all over her face was overreacting too much. Sure she did quite a bit, but if that paint got into her eyes, there is a very big chance she could go temporarily or permanently blind.
