To be honest, bloodborne must be one of the most complex stories in gaming. The mad lad Red Grave wrote an amazing piece that is The Pale Blood Hunt to try to explain the lore and still theres so much to discover its insane. It could easily be a series of books. I really wish we could see more of it

Sekiro is just skill for me. You earn every victory. No cheesing, no summons, and it’s just you versus the world.

Bloodborne is just perfection.

Bloodborne is so incredibly well made. The game mechanics, the atmosphere, the ost, the life of the world around you is just tuned to near perfection.

Sekiro has the best combat, Bloodbourne has the best atmosphere, ER has incredible world design, DS3 has the best bosses

You have a really positive vibe, and your love and awe towards these games is apparent in your voice. It’s very refreshing to listen to. Great video!

Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. The lore, the songs, the world, and of course the combat that puts it all together. Going through my 8th or 9th playthrough right now, and I'm still enraptured.

Sekiro is easily my favorite souls game. no cheesing and no overleveling to make the game easy. If you beat Sekiro, you mastered the game. The same cannot be said of games like Elden Ring where you can just cheese bosses with magic, bleed, and summons.

I could not agree more. Bloodborne is a masterpiece. The way the environment reminds you of a bad dream with settings you cant really easily explain in words but feel like you remember. The chalice dungeon itself is literally infinite in procedural generation and difficulty based on how many curses you want to apply. My favorite game of all time

Sekario is a game that tells you through boss fights that you aren’t going to dodge in this game, it forces you to deflect and the second you understand that, it clicks in your head. I have the saved clip of me being the final boss and I was literally shouting in achievement/relief. I would love a second game in the series.
Also the Nioh comparison, for me it’s SOOOO much faster paced than any other game but the first Nioh will always be a 10 for me because there are so many memorable bosses in the game and everyone’s playthrough will be different with the different avenues you can play as. I’d recommend Nioh if you’re looking for fast paced souls gameplay this is your cup of tea.

Sekiro is maybe my favorite game of all time. Love almost every aspect of it. Hope it gets a sequel. And while ive never played bloodborne, hope that gets one too since so many people love it.

Honestly I'd love to see another iteration of bloodborne. Just imagining the world beyond yharnam, or what it looks like outside the hunter's dream. So much material to build upon.

i agree with you on how consistent From Software is with the quality of their games. unapologetically vague and reasonably difficult. definitely my favorite series.

Elden Ring has been the game that finally brought me to the souls series after being interested in each prior game in the series but never pulling the trigger for one reason or another. After hundreds of hours invested, with as many ahead of me as behind, I'm completely hooked and eager to revisit the former games to see how the series has evolved. Love your content as a newcomer to the franchise and as someone curious about how it has developed and where I should go next. Thanks for the great info!

Bloodborne I’m my opinion is one of the best written games ever made. The lore and atmosphere were beautifully done

Couldn't agree more! Bloodborne is a true masterpiece. The world design, the ambiance, the music, the bosses and overall style... Just impeccable..I'll be checking out your BB playthrough videos!

I strongly agree on Sekiro. Its combat is the best FromSoft has ever produced and dare I say some of the best ever produced in gaming. It's so immersive and emulates the feeling of crossing swords/weapons so damn well. The way each (boss) encounter has its own flow and rhythm is absurdly engrossing. Rarely did I feel like I was playing a game, but more often it felt like actually being in a duel with a skilled opponent.

This makes it all the more sad that we never got any Sekiro DLC/Expansions. SPOILERS AHEAD: I would've so loved to learn more about the Western Interior Ministry, or Tomoe (Genichiro's master). I feel the game had plenty of stories left to tell. Hopefully we'll get a sequel or spiritual successor to it that connects to the first game somewhat.

I started with DS3, and I struggled a lot. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single boss was a learning experience. Even the deacons lol. Bloodborne is my favorite. I love Lovecraft and his work, so it's really no contest

Personally as a Souls noob, I love Sekiro’s combat to death and wish every Souls game before and after could’ve followed in its footsteps, it’s pure perfection in how it’s quick to learn but hard to master, even by hour 10 I still struggled to beat regular enemies

I've beaten Bloodborne like 5 or 6 times and it's still one of my all-time favorites. But Elden Ring did something special

I have 600 hours plus in DS1 and it is definitely my personal favourite. There is no game with a better level/world design than the first half. Eldenring and Bloodborne are able to channel some of this level design, but do not reach the same detail. There are several moments that have burned themselves into my brain just purely by the way the world is designed. Taking the elevator from the undead chapel looking down to firelink shrine. How Darkroot Basin is connected to 5 different areas through various shortcuts and how the ladder you take to Sif is the same you take downwards to Kalameet. When you first step out of the Hollow and are shocked by this completely surreal image of the old trees and one of the only areas with music playing. First arriving in Anor Londo, looking down at the city. My favourite route to take when starting a new playthrough is firelink, new londo, valley, lower blighttown, (sometimes picking up the chlorantine ring in the hollow), valley, basin, parish, burg, town, depths and Capra Demon is the only boss I encountered at that point. It is surreal how much freedom you can have in this game and this is what is missing in all the others, with only Eldenring coming close.
