Just bought an 02 Silverado 4.8 extended cab long bed. I personally never thought I’d by a Chevy, considering I owned 2 mopars before that, but I surprisingly can say the Chevy is the best truck I’ve ever had. I’ve driven a handful of fords and dodges but this Silverado is just a smile on my face everyday. I ragged on them for years and now I see why everyone loves them

Got a 2000 Chevy 2500 with a 6.0 vortec been the best purchase ever. 250k miles and only ever needed a starter and a fuel pump. Been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

He spent 8 minutes talking about the whole chevy and his video about the 5.4 Triton motor alone
was like 18 minutes

The 99 and 2000 model of Silverado and Sierra had both an iron block and heads. That makes them a super durable setup and has done wonders for me. Lq4’s are awesome!

Got an 03 Silerado. Has the 5.3 with 350k on it. Body and interior has seen better days, but it runs like new

I just bought a 2001 Chevy. It had high mileage on it. I had to fix a lot of stuff, but it seems okay now.

It's funny how you said "if it was built on a Monday vs Wednesday " that's so true. I work at the peterbilt plant In Denton tx. If the guys are pissed or had a heavy weekend. Things tend to show that on the quality.

I have been a Gm parts counter man for 23 years These were very good trucks what i used to see the most was the fuel pumps when we started getting more ethanol in the fuel they were going out like crazy the i shaft in the column was big, oil pump failure after they get old, seat bases were cracking on our large bretheren, lets not forget the window regulator those cables would fray....and cables on the end gate latch would bust...the instrument cluster that was big, water pumps and fan clutches too the tail gate handle bezels will fall off the yokes on the rear end leak around the seal ...the center console lid will break for sure master switches and seat recliner levers, cracking dashes, the clips on the tailgate handle the green and the red both crack catalytic converters were going out for a while..and another biggie is the blend door actuators in the dash those will go bad...but really these trucks were very good most of that stuff is normal wear and tear

All the guys bitching about what he said is hilarious, he is exactly right. Watch his videos, he points out any flaws on any brand and he is right 90% of the time.

Don't forget the cheap interior paint, where it chips off if you touch it more than a dozen times. This can be witnessed around the radio control knobs

I've got a '99 Silvarado with the 5.3L. 100% agree, especially on the engine being extremely reliable.

Well I can live with some cosmetics and easy stuff to fix as long as I got a good engine and drivetrain! Getting parts is super easy, too. 2005 GMC 2500HD

I come from Texas (thankfully rust is not a common issue in the south), I personally don't care for cosmetics, I bought my 2006 Chevy Silverado because of its longevity in the powertrain, and it has been a fantastic truck overall.
