Today in the first of two tastings of whiskies blended and bottled in India, Wine-Searcher's editor Don Kavanagh tastes and reviews Seagram's Imperial Blue Superior Grain Indian Whisky.

Seagram's are one of the leading whisky producers in the Indian market. The brand has been owned by Pernod Ricard since 2001 via their acquisition of Seagram.

Seagram's whiskies bottled in India are primarily blends of Indian grain spirit blended with imported Scotch malt produced by former Seagram subsidiary Chivas Brothers. The main production center is Pernod Ricard's facility in Kolhapur.

Superb Whiskey Imperial Blue, love from India...What I do is based on My Monthly Budget Buy a 2litre pet bottle of Imperial blue, 1 bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Straight White label. Now here is the trick. I add about 15 ml of KY Bourbon to 60 ml of IB and Voila...I add 2 blocks of Ice and clear Soda(non-sweetened) and I have a wonderful rich drink. Tough wold love Bourbon through & through...bu cannot afford it so this is the next best thing. Cheers Mate 🎉❤❤
