10 things you may not know about Amelia Earhart. We take a look at these 10 things you may not know about Amelia Earhart.

The story of Amelia Earhart is something you might have probably heard before. Amelia Earhart was the first person who flew completely alone across the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. She was full of life and ready to make big things in her life, a little bit different
than most at her time, she still managed to show the world how important she really is. Her disappearance has brought up many stories and questions that still remain unanswered, but there is still hope that someday, we might get to know the truth of her disappearance.

Born in 1897. Amelia Mary Earhart was known for her boyish, lively haircuts, wide trousers, freckled face and a lot of motivation. She was a real lover of the sky and life, but her love soon resulted in a disappearance. 1939. Amelia completely disappeared from our radars, she was tragically lost amongst the beautiful clouds and she still remains a huge mystery to all of us. Her friends and family were shocked after her disappearance and they did their best to find her remains, sadly with no luck.

Actually it is a miss conception that Amelia Earhart was “completely alone” she actually disappeared with her American flight navigator Fred Noonan over the Pacific Ocean. Otherwise, well done research on such an captivating subject.

Hi all! Of all the hypotheses of what happened to Amelia Earhart and her Electra 10-E, William "Bill" Snavely, Jr.'s may be the only one that starts with a found plane and traces her route backward towards her last known contact point. Operating on a hunch that due to low fuel, Earhart may have decided to turn back to a viable landing strip, which would have taken her directly over the path of Buka Island, east of Papua New Guinea. While in Buka searching for clues, Snavely received a tip that an airplane had crashed in 1937 and still lays submerged off the coast in 100' of water. According to Snavely, only roughly 30% of Earhart's route has been searched and has yielded nothing, so why not search the remaining 70%? Taking that approach has found a plane that so far, matches the description of Earhart's Electra. An expedition has been mounted to identify this plane more thoroughly this year.
They will have got clearance from local villagers and the people of Buka to do the dive.

It’s amazing how some amazing people seam to just disappear. Some folks might just be to great for their own good. Amelia was truly far before her time. Not “for a woman” like some would say, but as a pioneer for humanity.

I remember hearing about Amelia on a t.v show, called, "Unsolved Mysteries." They had a theory, she got captured by Japanese, they killed her and buried her body, that's just their theory though, sooo, her case is still Unsolved. If she's dead, may her soul rest peacefully

No, she didn't love fashion. She used her name to push someone else's designs. Yes, I know about her, she was my grandmother's cousin.
