Great info and tips as always. Your tank just keeps looking better and better all the time. Love it.

If you already have a big yellow tang in the tank, you can try to add a second tiny yellow tang. I think I read this advice in the revue Koralle, and it worked fine for me. The much larger Tang did not feel seriously challanged by the baby one, and after some posing they worked things out without aggression.

My purple tang has been the biggest bully of all of my tangs

My nano tank is a success, thanks to your advice. I set the tank up with a canister filter. The parameters are spot on. I don't have fish yet. Macro-Algae and inverts prevail for now. Bristle worms that hitched a ride on live rock, snails, and some corals. I also have a coco feather duster and a regular feather duster. All the life is happy. Pods are out of control lol. I call them the minions

What a lovely video, gonna watch it again, may even turn the volume on this time !!
I’ve got a powder brown, and a powder blue, with a yellow . I recently purchased and quarantined a midnight angel, tried three times to introduce the angel and the second the brown sees him he just goes all in 100% on the poor guy . May try a bicolor and see if maybe it’s just the solid black coloration makes the powder think it’s just a small dark tang . Idk got a valentini puffer in there, the powder brown swims around with him 80 % of the time, tried to add another golden maroon clown for mine to try and pair with, tangs wouldn’t let it anywhere in the tank so I left it in a hang on breeder box for a week till they got used to it being there, tried that on the angel, didn’t work for even a few seconds

I have had any problems with my tangs, I mostly like tangs, I have powder blue, yellow tang, purple tang, white tail koyle tang, you said it best make sure you feed them well. That's what makes them fight the lack of food. Great video.

More of an Angel person but hey cool video. :) My favorite Tangs are the Bristletooths and Zebrasoma Tangs. :)

By the way if you’re like me and willing to take a little risk with corals, Bali Aquarich has an amazing selection of captive bred angels including the species that are very tricky when wild caught such as the Venusta and Colin’s and Golden Angels. :)

Just subscribed by the way hehe

I hear Clown Tangs are, though beautiful, are the hardest to take care of as they are rather aggressive to any new fish and people either give it its own tank or rehomed or you have to upgrade to an even larger system or redecorate your tank to reset the territories. I might own Clown Tangs one day when I set up my own tank but I'd keep them in quarantine the longest so the other fish can settle in first before adding the clown tang in.

I’ve got a big tank (625 gallon water volume) but the toughest tang has been a 6 inch Koi Scopas tang. All the tricks in the book were done including a very large acclimation box for weeks. He was added after everyone was sleeping and lights stayed off for days after intro. He held off the aggression of fellow zebrasoma’s yellow and purple. Now he’s outdueled them all in becoming most dominant in tank! Keep in mind that in addition to YT and PT, I also had Achillies, Blonde Naso, Blue hippo, already well established in tank! With the 3 Zebrasoma’s in there, some aggression is dispersed. Next step is to add a Gem, YT and Powder blue to my recently cycled 240g aquarium……..fingers crossed.
