The self discovery walk of superheroes, when done well as shown here (and especially so later in the trench scene) is one of the best aspects of superhero stories. It brings us into their worlds, makes us feel like we’re becoming a superhero too, despite our flaws and our ordinariness.

The funny part is... according to revious issues, putting the bracelets together didn't generate an energy pulse, it rendered Diana captive... noted that the first time I saw it (long time DC reader). Oh well, more retcons...
