Just a query on the old Google Data analytics cert. Is it deprecated? If you took that recently does that mean you HV to retake the new one? Can you or is there a course to update just what was missed or added like Python and ML?

I sometimes feel like there was a bunch of statisticians sitting peacefully and them nerdy programmer came with certificates and said “I’m about to kill your ass cuz I know python and can do what you do and better than you do.”
Don’t compare languages with each other. R is still the choice of academia and no you cant be better at data analysis better than statisticians by doing google certification. Python is for production, scalability and for a complete different audience. Let both have fun

I started the course with R and I at half way. What should I do? I learn next to work which gives me a small time to learn. What is your suggestion? Continuo with the old? I want to jump out from the job as soon as possible (warehouse).

Got a question, I am taking the original Google Data Analytics with R and I have no experience with data analytics. Would taking R help me understand Python better or are they too different?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the word advanced. But looking at the curriculum I am familiar with a lot of the stuff. So it probably won't take me long to finish it. I have to admit my journey has been that of starting and then starting over lol. I get a lil down but I doing much better.

R is still better for statistics and only statistics.
So if you want to pursue high level statistics research in academia, R is the language. Also for some industries like health or drug research, R is still being used a lot. Generally anything that mainly involves stats and requires more mathematical ground i think.

For literally anything else, Python wins for sure

I feel like this would be the only way for me to learn Python consistently. Ever time I learned on my own, I do a lot then start over. I need something consistent, and this is it. I already completed Project Management, and Data Analytics. This is perfect for me. Coming in I already knew R was pretty much a dead language.
