Today we are doing our longest cycling challenge, riding over 200km in Da Nang Vietnam.

Our friend Katie was doing a 500km charity ride for Newborns Vietnam (children charity) and a local hospital cancer charity.

We decided to join in with many other cyclists participating in the long distance cycling challenge.

In part 2, we are continuing with a night ride cycling to Hoi An in the dark and back to Da Nang.

We just got back from the Minnesota Arrowhead. Fat bikes are big now in the snow in the Midwest. Just something for you guys to look forward to when you return!! Biking is so cool.

24 hour cycling is a huge physical exertion on the body!
Hope you and Thuong-san had a good rest the next few days!

The hard part about group rides is the stopping to wait, after pushing hard. It’s also hard to slow down and pace yourself when you mindset is to be up front.

Doing 200km is crazy and at 30kph makes it even more wild. You guys are beasts at this

Wow, cute little belly button, Cruise !
But seriously, that was a terrific achievement from both of you, as that was a heck of a long ride, even fighting the wind at times. There clearly was a good, friendly atmosphere to it sit all, which makes all the difference.
I totally empathise with you feeling ravenous afterwards ; after an extended ride I always feel I could empty the fridge if I dit not restrain myself !!😊

What an awesome ride. 30kph average speed! You guys are machines. Thanks for bringing us along. What type of lamps do you use? My rechargeable bike light hold its charge for about 2.5 hours. It wouldn't last for longer rides even on its low setting.

Yay part 2 and that was good that you guys did 200km. I see Thuong was motivated and talked you into doing more which is great. Hope you had a good rest afterwards and wasn't too sore.

That looks like a great ride!
I hope to join you on this or some other long distance rides in the future, but I can't promise I'll be able to finish more than 100km in a night.
As I've mentioned, I plan on working the night shift in da Nang, and most nights I'll finish between 1:00-4:00am. Are there any restaurants open then, or is it all convenience stores?
I'm guessing most of the street food carts will have closed by then.
