As a bama fan, one thing I really appreciate is that While CKD is respectful of bama, its legacy, and saban... he seems to have a quiet confidence that "you really havent seen anything yet" ... basically he isnt a bama simp regarding its history, which is awesome.

He has the biggest and probably the greatest coaching job in college football. This fanbase loves Alabama football and will support him. Just win thats the key is winning. I really believe he will do a really really great job at Bama. He and his family will be shown more love than they could ever imagine.

Culture for me is a series of Habits of an Emotional Thought Process that Align an Organization (or even a family or one person) thru a singular Vision in the areas of Personnel / Operations / Strategy. There are Sub-Cultures and Sub-Visions throughout the Main Culture & Vision.

Great interview! I have had my eye on Kalen going back to EMU and my studies go back to his mentors @ Sioux Falls. Big fan of his Offense and Culture. I love the idea of a Vision - so well broken down - to the specific sub-Vision for each individual player and their role.

I understand that many coaches do this - but like Schemes on the field - it's not the knowledge of what's come before, but the new ways of implementing and, even more so, understanding these concepts. The defined understanding of all pieces of this incredible Game come to bear on transferring it to all who share in the organizational goals.

A vision for each player - just a great way to share that concept of building the Team around the Players and making it about them, while at the same time making it about more than each of them individually.

Naysayers!!!! DeBoer has won everywhere he's been. His win loss record is by far better than Sabans at the same time periods in their careers. All this nitpicking about certain positions on the team lacking is uncalled for until they materialize. I don't think they will. And remember, there were many many Naysayers when Saban was hired. This is Alabama....The most winning football program in college history. Some bumps along the road at times but we always seem to find that 4wheel drive vehicle. This is a new Era in college athletics and Saban didn't want to deal with it. DeBoer is a new Era coach. Whether we like it or not. If you're a true Bama fan, Roll with it baby....RTR

He ended with roll tide, he gets it. By mid season it will be second nature. I think we have a long term guy here who will grow to love this place and team and program as we all do. Guy does not seem like hired gun looking to go win and go pro or go to other named brand college, I think he seems like the guy that could be very happy winning a lot here and that being all he needs to do in his career, be the guy who came after the legend the goat and continued the success even with all the pressure that replacing a legend and the goat brings. I think thi guy could be my 3rd favorite coach ever after Saban and bear. Honestly I saw bear and saban and they were different but both great saban did it in tougher environment in shorter span but their is only one Goat Saban but there was only one Bear, the legend the myth the bigger than human figure. Now Deboer must add his name to that list of the best, and I think he can do it. Just remember one thing and you will be great, be the team no one wants to play. be the Bama that fans no longer say we want bama, when they say it do like we did in past make them hate for ever saying the words. LOL🤣

It’s difficult for Alabama fans to get used to the “awe shucks” factor that you get with Kalen DeBore. Alabama’s most successful head coaches of the past 65 were hard-ass types.

To all of you young folks that think Coach Saban made Bama you are completely wrong! We have always been relevant have you forgotten Bear Bryant???

Tuscaloosa in here.. If he keeps that BAMA Defense going.. (I know what Saban has done) but DeBoer can rewrite
the books. I want to see how the Defense plays out. Worried about the offense this year with Jalen being back there. Ready for him to leave! Other than that, we should be fine. Roll Tide!!!

He's 3-0 against dan Lanning, 2-0 against sark. Whine all you want. Bama has been doing it since the 20's. Wallace wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, Gene Stallings, Nick Saban and now Kalen DeBoer. Shut up until the dust settles.

none of this will matter in 5 years, this paying for unproven kids and lack of loyalty for older players jumping for money is turning college football into the same sad league the nfl is, schools might as well just go buy and have a championship trophy made and put in the case, cut out wasting money paying for kids.

He interviewed for the Bama job while he was in Houston preparing for the NC game. UW team got wind of it. He cared more about getting Bama job then winning the NC game. Big fan of your work Ryan.

I understand Debo about your Wash squad... but dude, you put up over 40 and you give up 40 that would have driven Saban crazy, don't bring that BS to Tuscaloosa you will get stoned to death, You need to stop doing so many of these interviews and figure out the CB situation because bro you are going to get challenged non stop in that area for real.
