In this video, I add 2wd low range in my 2000 Silverado. It was really easy to do and works perfectly.

Dang man that is Awesome !! I may do that to my Silverado. It would be super handy traveling curvy mountain roads with a load of firewood or a loaded trailer. Cases where you'd have maximum traction but could really benefit from the gear reduction .. & not tear out anything in the drive train.
Excellent video, very helpful.
Thank you !

I left Lexington yesterday morning and took back roads all the way back to South Carolina. Went through one area and kept seeing the name Fugate on everything in town...I thought of you. 😁 I figured I was probably in your area. Lol. Beautiful countryside. Awesome drive home. Happy New Year. Take care! ❤️🇺🇸❤️

Great project Luke! There's nothing worse than trying to keep a very slow speed uphill with a manual transmission. Stopping and restarting is a pain in the rear that way. I'm glad you were able to find a solution, and that it worked. It should make your life better in those situations, lol.

Hopefully this gets popular. I just noticed in Diesel World magazine that BD Diesel is selling a harness that taps into the factory wiring (very similar to yours) to accomplish this same thing. They want about $170 for it.... It's a bit fancier of course but still just some wire, 2 relays a switch and 2 connectors...

I really like your ability to create a Granny Gear from yesteryear, except instead of doing it in the Transmission, you did it electrically in the cab.

Luke it seems that your Camera is giving you some issues. It keeps stopping on you.

I've said it before....I don't think there's anything you can't do, Luke.

I want to have that done on mine, but I also want to have it to where I can choose when I want to engage the front diff just by itself. only reason is I got a new tcase 4 low works great 4 high it wont engage up front I've already changed the switch in the tcase nothing changed I like having everything when I want it to work the flip switch is awesome. How should I wire this to basically force it to engage the front.

I have a '90 Silverado Z71 K1500. It has the heated actuator, can I do the same thing to it and is it similar colored wire? I like the extra finesse of low but don't need 4wd sometimes. Thank you for the informative videos.
