We are Pat & Giulia, a couple from 🇬🇧 and 🇮🇹 living in London.

We decided to go travelling and ended up living getting stuck in Malaysia during 2020 which spurred the creation of this channel, we're now back on the road after a lengthy hiatus!

We're Malaysian enthusiasts who enjoy discovering spots off the tourist trail and don’t like taking ourselves too seriously. We're not here to be vloggers or to be famous, we're not necessarily here to "inspire" anyone to travel either - just enjoy the spontaneous fun of it, weird situations and of course making local friends.

In China, we use Gaode map, or Baidu map. Trust me, they are much better than google map.

China's subway security checks are not solely targeted at terrorist attacks. Some are aimed at ordinary people unconsciously carrying potentially flammable objects, such as alcohol, gasoline, combustibles, combustible gases, etc. Ordinary people carrying dangerous goods may not know that they are dangerous goods. If detected during security checks, the carrier will only be confiscated and will not be punished.

all train stations and subway stations in China have security check, that's why you never see any violent crimes on subway in China.

Used Baidu map in china before. It is indeed better than Google map or Waze. Not only it gives more accurate live traffic, to my suprise its even tell you the traffic light going to green in 10 seconds time. Incredible isn't it..

China is actually a heaven for veggies as many don't know, very long history for people to be vegetarians here, you better have a translation app and learn how to pronounce that, will save you lots of time.

All subways in China require security checks to ensure everyone's safety. Some famous attractions also require security checks. Because there are too many people, once an unpredictable vicious event occurs, the damage will be very big.

London and Shanghai are really alike, as a Shanghainese, I quickly adapted to London when I arrived there. In Shanghai, streets are very clean

they have bag check all over China on their sub-system due to terrorist attack.. 30 people were hack to death about 10 years ago by a nutter with turban and beards.. half a dozen kits were also slash in some rural town.. the Chinese government don't mess around with securities of their people.. the best subway system is in their richest city which is Shenzhen near Hong Kong.. Shanghai subway is the biggest in the world and growing a staggering speed.. the longest line is about 150 mile long.. all the way to the next city of Suzhou..

The security checks are normal in whole China. And at all places cameras are everywhere - that's the Chinese way of supporting the most important human right: the right to live, which entails security. The Chinese don't feel at all harassed by it, for they know: the government works for the safety of the people. Something you can't imagine in a democracy combined with capitalism.

Hi! You can travel from Shanghai to Suzhou. Suzhou has preserved the ancient city intact, and the building height in the area is limited. The highest point cannot exceed the height of Beisi tower. In addition, Suzhou also has high-rise buildings, mainly near Dongfangzhimen subway station. The distance between Shanghai and Suzhou is about 100km. If you choose to take the train, you usually need to take the high-speed train. It takes about half an hour to get to Suzhou, and the ticket price is about 40 RMB. If you are not very financially well-off, you can take the ordinary speed train, which takes about 1 hour to get to Suzhou, and the ticket price is 14.5 RMB. In addition, it feels crazy that you can even take the subway from Shanghai to Suzhou. The main transfer point is Huaqiao Station (take Shanghai Metro Line 11 to Huaqiao and then transfer to Suzhou Metro). I tried to go from Shanghai Xujiahui Subway Station to Suzhou Beisi tower Subway Station. It took a total of 3.5 hours and the ticket price was a total of 18 RMB.

Security checks can be found in every public transportation in China, including airport, train stations, bus hubs, subways, etc. You can also find security checks in big hospitals, usually public hospitals in China. All the skin checks are for public safety.
