Where To Find EMT Schools?

An EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) course is designed to educate individuals in emergency medical care. The EMT course covers patient assessment, basic life support techniques, handling of trauma and medical emergencies, and patient transportation. EMT students learn through a combination of lectures, hands-on practice, and clinical time.

Upon completion of the class, students are required to pass a practical skills exam in class and a written test via NREMT to become certified EMTs.

Pease note that some volunteer ambulance corps also offer EMT basic courses. Many also offer tuition reimbursement to members who successfully earn EMT certification.

I did an accelerated course that was done in two weeks. The school was Unitek EMS in Arizona.

Yeah I did the accelerated kind and it was 10 weeks and it did feel like we needed a couple more weeks but I passed.

Mine was an 8 week class. I learned nothing from it's lectures. Your videos are what got me through the NREMT exam. Everything else I know now came from my clinicals, orientation rides, and just working on the truck over time. Literally the only helpful thing my 8 week class did was qualify me to take the exam. That's pretty concerning, if you ask me.

What about online programs? Like Coursera has an online program then you go to Colorado for a week for the hands on part.
