As you all know, I’ve been a long time opponent of make-up wipes, but I decided to put them to test. They’re actually NOT too bad at removing this UV-sensitive make-up concoction that I made! If followed but a gentle cleanser, I think it’s actually decent at removing make-up

Reasons I Still Don’t Like Them:
1. Dragging on the skin can cause inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and irritation, especially around the eyes
2. Very drying on the skin, as it strips away your natural oils with the make-up and sunscreen
3. Disposable wipes are not great for the environment

I recommend a cleansing balm or oil followed by a water-based cleanser instead!

That’s actually super helpful. Everyone always says wipes don’t clean, but those exact wipes are the only thing that removes my makeup (as a first cleanse) and don’t make me break out. Thanks for the info!

I usually use a wipe then second cleanse with micellar...there’s a brand in Australia called Wotnot, their wipes is 1 of the best I’ve seen

I don’t depend on wipes to clean my face. I use the wipe, gently, then cleanse. It uses less cleanser and I don’t have to scrub. The wipe has a solution in it that kind of leaves a film on my face. Smells good but I never just use the wipe. Plus with my sensitive skin I don’t want to use a bunch of cleansers one after another. Of course now I don’t even use makeup. Would rub off on my mask. I use eyeliner so I look like I have eyes but that’s it. (besides moisturizer & sunscreen) Saves on money. Trying to find a drugstore retinol product that doesn’t look someone slapped me in the face. My reaction is of course peeling skin and extreme redness. But I still need one without any nuts like shea, coconut, almonds, etc that will take care of my melasma and 51 yr old wrinkled face (especially around & under eyes). What we go through.

Women also wear makeup more frequently and it can build up quite a bit. Especially you're using a foundation or CC cream that is formulated with sunscreen. I never use just a wipe, but it does a quick and thorough job of removing makeup when followed with a gentle cleanser.

Please do a video on the order you should apply skincare. I cleanse, serum, SPF, moisturise... But I'm not sure tbh. I've heard some people say SPF should be applied last but I like to apply moisturiser over SPF to tone down the white residue... Idk

This is for the people with very sensitive skin: One time I was using these wipes to clean my face but all of a sudden I started to get this redness around my eyes and cheeks, I was so scared and it took some days to recover and I’m fine now
