I’m so grateful. I was about to hire a handy man and I was able to extrapolate from your battery to my boogie bike battery and wow, not hard at all!

Thanks for this! Following your advise I was able to remove the battery. Appreciate you taking the time to make this video.

Thank you! I have a Ride1Up ebike with the same or similar battery setup. The screwdriver trick worked like a charm. With the battery removed I noticed a small phillips head screw was loose on the bracket. This is the screw at the top of the bracket that holds the battery contact assembly. I think this caused the problem because it allowed for too much play in the battery locking mechanism. After tightening the screw I can now remove the battery easily. Thanks for posting this video.

I have a Rambo Rebel 1000Watt and it has the same battery/key setup and I was hammering on my battery with a rubber mallet 🤦🏼‍♂️ and after seeing this video, I had to put a scary amount of force to get the battery to pop out, but it finally came out. Thank you.

Very nice solution!
I have a few different flat blade drivers Ive used for the "wrong purpose"
a long one I ground thin & it is a great shimmy pry tool [no longer a driver, buut it is good for my purposes]
from chainsaws to ebikes (& a few other things needing "persuasion")
what a great idea! thank you my ebike has a battery with a lock like that (I better lube it as its working)

Thanks as well. My battery was damned stuck on my German Riese Muller. No golden pin but a severe clamp caused this failure. After manipulation with my screw driver it became loose! I will put some solid grease on it before mounting my battery again!

The pin and lock are jammed. A less intrusive way is to get some silicone spray. Put some on the key, and a quick squirt into the keyhole. Turn the key a few times and wait a minute. It will free up the lock and the battery will release no problem. Once released, put some lube on the pin and turn/release the key a few times. That will solve the issue longer term. I had the same problem with the same battery pack.

Cool, mine came out. Looking to upgrade soon as my x48 only charges to 54 on a good day and I ride 13miles full throttle daily.
