Why can't I articulate my thoughts?

“I can’t seem to articulate my thoughts, so I end up not saying anything.”

This is a challenge that many people I work with bring to the table.

Although there are several tactics and strategies one can apply to work through this, I would suggest the place to start is to figure out why.

Why do you find yourself not able to articulate? Why is it uncomfortable for you to speak up?

There are likely multiple possible reasons. I would like to consider three – all of which affect confidence.

my problem is to articulate my thoughts in my brain. so i can passively speak with my self and practice, my biggest problem is to give a voice to these thoughts

I have ADHD, a learning disability and possibly on the autism spectrum. I get so frustrated with myself when I try to express my thoughts. I always go blank or stutter

Thank you. I was beating myself up because of this, but I need to give myself some grace.

Hi Nancy, my English is pretty good .But when it comes to speaking up and expressing my thoughts, I go blank and sometimes stutter..I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of my colleagues. How do I overcome this stress and speak up during the meetings? Words don't just come to my mind at the right time.

It sucks. Plain and simple. You know what you know and when it comes time you blank. It’s beyond maddening. Especially when the opposition is wrong,
