No More Phase Converter

Phase converters are a blessing when you need them, just to be able to run your machines that need it and when you can feed your shop with real 3 Phase from the pole, you really get the quiet snappy current without a secondary motor running in the background. There are a few other perks as well like slightly lower energy bills and more floor space or wall space, not to mention less noise distractions for my viewers during my videos.

Hi Keith i ran a phase converter for 10 years on the farm better than not being able to use my machines now i have retired and got three phase put on to my new place took ten days to get connected but it is nice just to turn on a machine without running a convertor. My friend in Adelaide complained it took five weeks for his three phase connection could not imagine having to wait three years, thank you for you excellent videos long time viewer have a great holiday in Europe with Liza

Congratulations! I remember you expecting this years ago. It's still mysterious to me how the US hasn't brought 3-phase into general use. Here in northern Europe every home has 3 phase 400 V and has has since the 1950s. Glad you are finally up to speed.

I got rid of my rotary phase converters 6-8 years ago and went with VFD's, there is so much more I can do with VFD's, soft starts, braking, speed control etc. My electric company quoted me $30, 000.00 dollars to run 3 phase to my shop!
