I broke my tibia fracture and the doctor said its the worse one hes seen in the 40 years of medicine, you couldnt imagine how badly I fucked it up, and my leg is basically all just steel now its been bad these last 7 months

the only reason why I think my leg was not amputated and viewed as a write off was that the main surgeon at the hospital wanted to show off his skills to the others doctors

What about the bone marrow inside the bone ? Will not those damage due to the insert ?

If there is a double break of the Tibia, how the Hell do you previously align the whole bone to pass the nail through?

Hello Dear Sir,
Sir my tibial implant was done 22 months ago. screw infection was occured, 3 months post operation, at distal end.

A screw itself came out after 6 months of surgery due to infection. and other one was removed by surgery, the infection went away and came from time to time, it was controlled by using antibiotics, pus and blood come out from the screw point uptill now. Doctor said that nail must be removed now, but may be this infection does appear after nail removal also!! what would be the appropriate way to eliminate the infection completly? Please suggest me best possible solutions! Thank you.

I had this surgery 2 weeks ago and Im still resting in my bed. My surgeon said I can walk 1 month after the surgery. I had a double fracture in my left leg( tibia and fibula) the doctor said the fibula will heal itself. and also my malleolus bone (right leg) broke.

I have a question If there's a clean break in the tibia and you put the nail down it how do you get the bones to line up perfectly so your foot is where it used to be

I broke my tibia and fibula when I was younger lucky I didn’t need this. I had to have it reset after a few months or so I think that sucked.
