I do remember very well the first time i 've heard that song. I was playing in my school it was 1968 i do remeber well because i was two days before in the hospital because an apendicitis.That song, the Octopuss garden and Yellow submarine were the songs i loved when I was a little boy. The things John said were only reflections of his current moods. He was extremely complimentary about The Beatles and his fellow members when he himself was in a good place mentally, as rare as those occasions may have been. Generally he was unhappy and tormented and his acidity was the outward manifestation of that.
