I love the HOME sprites, but also dislike them. Here's why.

I don't really hate the HOME sprites, and I'll continue to use them going forward, but they do annoy me a little bit as there are a decent amount of Pokémon other than those I showed here that suffer from this same "issue."

Actually, Shiny Haunter does have a lighter shade of purple in Legends Arceus, so maybe it will be his new shiny color for the next games

I noticed that too but I think you can count on the HOME sprites to be more cannon since HOME has a longevity aspect to it whereas the games have edited shiny shades a bit.

I love the home gengar line sprites. They are different in home bc they aren't oddly desaturated.

I think the color of the home icons were based more on the 2D sprite colors rather than the 3D model colors seen as the colors of Pokémon like Meowth were a lot more saturated before the switch to 3D.

I did notice pokemon home sprites have differences in color, and I actually like how vibrant it makes the pokemon look compared to their ingame 3D sprites. If I were to choose one over the other, I would choose Home.

To be fair, there is no way to get shiny marshadow, so it could just be a work in progress

Once upon a time, chandalure had shadow tag in Gen 5, before it was changed when the distribution became avaliable

It's probably a 'PC Box' type feature with the latter two, so you can distinguish between them without checking.

the strangest thing for me is that in home venonat's main body got more vibrant while the shiny kept the duller colors, when before normal and shiny looked identical except for the red and blue details.
this is exclusive to home too since venonat keeps the dull colors in scarlet and violet

I think whoever worked on HOME looked at the normal and shiny form and just couldn't bear putting the same color twice
