Design so Simple it’s Brilliant

Such a simple design, it’s cool. The CRKT “K.I.S.S” which literally stands for “keep it super simple”! Designed by Ed Halligan, it has a blade shape that ka is Tanto-inspired with a chisel-point grind on the front and flat on the backside. When the blade is closed onto its handle/frame, the precision fit effectively "seals" the cutting edge to the frame, even though it's exposed.

Interesting in the Army we would often say or refer to the KISS method which meant Keep It Simple Stiupid!!

Love the knife lady showing the easy one-handed open and close....with a bandaid from all the pointy things she handles every day!

I had one many years ago. I enjoyed it very much, but the steel was very soft. I may give this version a try.

I used to carry this as my EDC, it's a nice little picket knife. But the problem I had and got tired of, was that the blade screw would loosen every time I would open/close it. It was easy enough to use my thumb the snug it up enough for use, but as I said, I got tired of doing that.
It's still in a drawer somewhere though. 😄

The og version was my first knife, a gift from my brother back in the late 90s! A vg10 version sounds cool

I remember these from when I was young. We've both been around a long time! I always liked the idea of it more than in actual use😂

Gerber used to have this and it was called the ridge knife. I loved it! I kept it slid in by the buckle on my tac belt. I was so sad they stopped making then and now I've got to get one of these.

I had something like this, CRKT some time ago. Some people don't like these, but it's compact with a great clip.
