This isn't 'heartbreaking' -
this is honorable and inspirational

That struggled breathe with the swallow at the beginning. Dude was trying his all to push through it. As someone who's suffered panic attacks in the past, this is painfully relatable.

Cool guy - panic attacks are nothing to be ashamed for. He really acted professional in the honest way ever: he just told everyone.

He’s excellent at his job (I’m Australian and he presents daily on our national public broadcaster) and also very passionate about meteorology and science in general). That’s why he does it. As if the world would be better off if no one ever pushed themselves out of their comfort zones!

I get severe panic attacks and one of the worst part about it is handling it in a social situation or when you are on the spot. This has nearly brought tears as I am so impressed with the courage and honesty and vulnerability and professionalism of this news anchor. He handled it with grace simply and truthfully. This is to be absolutely commended. Especially in a work environment where there is fear of being fired. It would be a crime to fire this man. Thank you sir as now I will never be ashamed and will speak up if I have a panic attack again in a public situation. I am so
impressed and you are a man of great courage and self-respect. Panic disorder is real and it okay to be human. Give this man a raise! He is a gem.
You e got this air and feel better soon! ❤

Wow they both handled it so well! I've had panic disorder for over 10 years it really can become so debilitating especially when we try to push through it

His honesty in such a stressful situation is inspiring, and admitting he can't carry on so passes back to his colleague who calmly picks up when he can't carry on is also great. She takes over without a big drama or making it even more distressing.

I was expecting a breathless, heart attack type scenario to be honest. The guy did well and didn't embarass himself.

As I got older, I started having panic attacks in crowds. I stay out of crowds.

How much courage one needs to experience this kind of anxiety, knowing that you can have a panic attack at any moment, and still be willing and committed to be a weatherman on live TV. You are amazing.

I also suffer from panic attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder, which started after I came back from the war in Afghanistan. Now I can’t even go to the dentist anymore because my subconscious makes me die every time in the dentist’s chair! My respect that he manages to appear live with it on TV, I couldn’t and live a very secluded life with my dog as my only companion and friend!! That’s the price you pay sometimes! Greetings from Germany!

I've had a few panic attacks in my life; it's an awful and horrible feeling.
Kudos to him for staying professional, and to his co-workers for taking over seamlessly.

It's impressive how professional and smooth he remained even during the panic attack. I hope he got through it okay when he was off-air.

He handled it well, and the news lady provided a smooth transition - I wonder if they practiced that knowing he is prone to panic attacks. I hope he feels better.
