In this video i review and ranking all of the new hazbin hotel redesigns. I can’t wait to see who else we get to see in the future or maybe the release of an official trailer. Honestly, I think Charlie’s new design makes her look way more like an heiress to hell’s throne, so it kinda fits her a bit more in my personal opinion. But I can definitely agree that the overuse of red outfits could end up being a problem since the city of hell’s color scheme is mostly red.

the charlie redesign feels like an adult version of pilot charlie. like she has been running the hotel for some good years and knows her stuff.

it feels off to have this more mature design on a charlie that is just getting started

personally i think husks design is more complex now from an artist stand point- big details like his wings are easier to draw. They didn't make it less detailed, they just made the details smaller. and actually added more (eyebrows and ears) which makes him even more difficult to draw and animate consistently

My only problem is I feel there’s a bit too much red with Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Nifty, especially since the city itself is red

I like Vaggie’s redesign. I had no idea what she was supposed to look like, but the new design does give a much clearer moth-like impression. Especially the hair looking like moth wings.

I'll be honest, I only fully like the redesign of Angel Dust, for others it's a mixed bag (especially Charlie and Vaggie). Some things just feel unnecessary. As the saying goes: "don't fix what's not broke". But I am okay with simplification to have an easier time animating (like having fewer hair strands on Nifty).

Personally Charlie’s is one of my favourites. Her colour scheme being red yellow and white look so regal and better communicate that she’s demon royalty. I think her being the only one with red pupils also communicated that, perhaps that’s a trait of the hell royal family. I also just think the red suit is really stylish and I like how her shirt is untucked underneath which shows she’s still a bit disorganised.

Honestly I was bothered by Charlie's redesign at first, but then I accepted it quite fast because while she's a very popping RED THAT SCREAMS IN YOUR FACE that's kinda her character- no the REAL reason is that this new design gives her the sharpness and demonic presence she was supposed to have but missed. I can see this new Charlie with a wicked crazy smile, going berserk, but the old one...lol never, look at the baby-

Charlie's new design is sharper, exudes more confidence and plainly just looks more evil. Really helps sell that she is in fact the princess of hell itself, which wasnt really found in her og design. If her character stays the same then it'd be an really interesting contrast

Vaggie’s redesign fits her personality more, as well as provides her with a clear design influence in regards to a moth. Most notably is her hair: as you mentioned, it is sharper and more defined, which I think ties flawlessly into her easily defensive, hot-blooded nature and caustic mouth when angered. What’s more, the grey highlights are significantly easier to see and resemble that of a moth’s wings.

I LOVE the redesign for Alastor, one of my biggest problems was he didn't look as deer-like and the bigger horns, darker skin tone, and nose improve it so much & make him pop from the background

Genuinely the only redesign I'm not sure about is Angel Dust, I know he must have been hell to animate but idk, it'll probably grow on me but I love his original design and wish more of it could be kept. I absolutely can't wait to see Sir Pentious!

I can imagine Pentious having a more steampunk design with a few brown and yellow pallets and goggles although I do like his current design.

heard that charlie was also redesigned for animation purposes. you can see that her hair appears to be loose until the very bottom, but the side had strange waves. they changed her hair to just having multiple ties in it so it can be easier to animate, more consistent, and still give off a relatively same look

I actually liked Charlie's redesign, but I do agree. I would rather prefer to change the color of her pants to black.
I don't mind Vaggie, Angel Dust or Husks redesigns, however I have an issue with Angel's gloves and why they were different colors. I almost didn't know that the second arms had gloves, and neither did some people, Vivzie had to tell others that those were gloves. And Vaggie's uniform is something that I don't mind, it's just odd for me to see her in some much red. Husk I have no problems with however, I would like to see what his pants look like, the look just looks incomplete to me because we only see the top half of him.
Nifty and Alastor I have more problems with because they have alot of red which I found a bit disappointing. Nifty's look I don't mind but I preferred her to not have her skintone change to a lighter white-ish pink and would've stuck to the original, or just have her keep her original design because I had no issues with it.
Edit: I just realized that the skin tone change for nifty might have been for the better because she’s Japanese and her having a light yellow skin may have not been appropriate

I didn’t care for charlie’s new design at first, but it’s grown on me more and more over time. ESPECIALLY the hair. I loved that one from the start lol

Gotta say I didn't like Charlie's redesign at first but I'm slowly growing but it didn't need the change. The main complaint I have is the eye color and now I feel as if there's too much red in the show.

Charlie new design makes her look more dignified in a way, she looks more stylish and she really looks like lucifers daughter, an heiress. I like vaggies new design along with Charlie's bcuz it also gives the impression that the hotel is taking off so they got better fits to go with it.
