REIMAGINING HAZBIN CHARACTERS (based on their lore)

thank you guys for all the love on the previous one! I had some hotter takes about the story in this one so I hope this doesn't come off too harsh, ultimately I find it fun to talk about because I do think the world of Hazbin is very interested and gets the imagination going which is just the best!

Lavender forgot the most vital part about the Belgian Lucifer statue. They commissioned another sculptor to replace the existing statue and the 2nd one came out more attractive than the first 😭

Lute's mask covering her eyes is a nice nod to the idea of blind faith and her unwillingness to look outside of her own worldview

I like the idea that maybe Lute in this AU still doesn't think she can be harmed after harming vaggie, purely because she believes Vaggie to be "sinful" and therefore no longer protected by God, and so she believes her being ABLE to harm Vaggie means she deserves it in her eyes.

2:21 As a spider enthusiast, I'd like to note that those are called chelicerae. It's also worth noting that they are NOT mandibles (pronounced, like, shell-uh-see-ray) Mandibles are used for chewing, while chelicerae are used for sucking (more context in replies)

Something about an angel that looks so beautiful and innocent committing violent, unspeakable acts feels so terrifying and uncanny to me, something so pure creating genocide and destruction. Honestly it's one of my favorite designs and I think it would make an interesting dynamic in the show, how appearances and angelic beauty can hide evil
edit: I'm not trying to bash the show, and hold nothing against their angel designs, so please refrain from giving me death threats because of it, I'm not trying to be rude and apologize if i come off as such

I love your change for the angels! I agree that the dichotomy between them looking docile and holy and committing horrible acts would make for more interesting imagery than a visibly evil character doing bad things

Honestly, I LOVE your Lute design, the idea of her being super cute and nice but probably killing demons violently with a happy smile because she thinks what she’s doing is correct is SUCH a smart idea and I love it! And yeah I found her design a lot less “heavenly” than the other angels, so I’m glad how your design turned out 💜

As a Hazbin fan, I genuinely really enjoy not only hearing genuine constructive criticism of the show but also hearing solutions that would make a lot more sense. Hearing other perspectives that aren’t completely blindly supportive of the show is quite refreshing, and it is such a shame that such a warning is needed on such a politely made video ♥️

I love that they all follow a similar red and black color scheme and that Lute stands out easily as not being one of them. i like the detail that Lucifer, Lute and Charlie have blonde hair, also setting them apart from the rest of hell which makes sense! Angel was done so dirty in the show too, he's so pretty and unsettling here and definitely reads spider more here (i didnt even know he was supposed to be a spider for so long). love the redesigns!

I think a simple solution to the 8 limb thing with Angel would be to give him 4 legs, but have two legs in each boot, so he still walks bipedally. I think having him holding 6 things is a fun sight gag, but it doesn't seem worth drawing 6 whole arms all the time. That way, there's still the fun of having multiple simultaneous expressions through his different arms, but it's more of an allusion to him being a spider, and the design doesn't even need to change that much.

I love the lineup at the end! One thing about hazbin hotel characters is that the silhouette works but the lineup kind of feels like a bit of a boring train track due to how many characters have the same kinda tall height and nifty is just the tracks only diverse track. The lineup of height variation is a HUGE improvement!

Also i would love to see a redesign of high guardian spice character designs especially since you have experience with writing stories about witches

It is so ominous to think of Angels floating down from the light and killing hoards of screaming people with serene smiles, moving so lightly, in a way that almost resembles a dance
