Note: the new GoPro has new proprietary batteries and aren’t compatible with previous models.. pretty messed up!

Imagine you're watching a cooking video and Adam Ragusea says "Close the lid" and your laptop lid closes.

I for one really like the detachable laptop selfie camera for privacy reasons, so long as a replacement part is cheap enough (or modifiable) when I inevitably lose it.

Friday Checkout has now became a thing on my Schedule, which I definitely watch even when I am busy!

The Ki wireless standard Is there to make anyone rebuild their kitchen, waste a lot of energy, and add the "smart" monikers here and there. Cannot work well vertically, need people to guess positioning, and essentially make us dependent on software companies even where we had quite good standards already. A magnetic plug to reduce risks for kids and make the appliance detach to reduce the risk of falling, and way easier to make retrocompatible, would have been too consumer oriented.

Induction is more efficient than electric because the pan itself generates the heat, instead of an element generating heat and then transferring it inefficiently to the pan over an air gap. It would work with a kettle if made for an induction hob top and would be more efficient.

Quite what relevance that has to a stand mixer I don't know as a wired cable would be much more efficient if just transferring electricity is the goal.

The detachable webcam from Honor is actually good design.
That can make laptop bezel thin and good for privacy.

Concord was live service game. The “service” part costs money over time. So unless you have couple of million players showing up few times a week there is no point to deliver the “service” part. It is cheaper to just shutdown everything fast.

Concord did not have single player story mode part.

I still don’t know what IFA is. It would be nice to mention that at the start.

Huawei/Honor are absolutely killing it. Never in a million years have I expected that they made truly halo products between the 980g xmatepro and the 226g honor magic v3.

This kitchen wireless charger thingy is great for people who want to have higher electricity bills.
(Wireless charging is less efficient than "normal" charging, with a significant amount of the electricity being wasted)

That ki concept was presented grenades ago by a company called power mat. The tech could also e transfered to wall where you use it to place things like lighting. I was excited by this and am surprised by how long it has taken

Lunar Lake looks great, but is made by TSMC mostly, and just packaged by Intel, right? Given they have been late on launches, skipping 20a to focus on 18a makes a ton of sense given the limited predicted use of 20a anyway. Hopefully they get on track with Foundry and keep competition strong.

2000 euros for a phone… these prices are getting ridiculous. I thought foldable prices were suppose to come down, not go up. I still see some naive hopefuls saying “it’ll come down in a year or two”.
