'If anything happens, it's not suicide': Boeing whistleblower's prediction to family before death

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A close family friend of John Barnett said he predicted he might wind up dead and that a story could surface that he killed himself.

But at the time, he told her not to believe it.

"I know that he did not commit suicide," said Jennifer, a friend of Barnett's. "There's no way."

He had fully packed his bags ready to leave and called his mother to say he would be home on Sunday and extended his stay by a day on the request of Boeings lawyers and then found shot in his own truck in the parking lot with the gun in hand. This is so suspicious that it could be a crime thriller its just not adding up except for there to be foul play.
