Data downtime refers to periods of time when your data is partial, erroneous, missing, or otherwise inaccurate, and it’s an all-too-common reality for most data engineering teams.

To demonstrate Data Downtime, we will share our story of how engineers at Monte Carlo experienced our own data downtime incident and how we could have prevented and triaged this problem by applying best practices of observability to our pipelines.

During this meetup, you’ll learn why data observability is a critical layer for the modern data stack as well as what it takes to leverage these foundations in practice.
