The window shattering could be just pressure, as zach said, they are pretty high up, the glass may shattered due to that, or temperature, as the photo showed it seemed chill-y, if it was hot before that may have agitated the glass... but most probably it was someone on the othet building with the slingshot

Around here it seems to be a local tradition for people to walk out of a store then stop, dead in the middile of the foot traffic to have a coversation in the group, as they occupy as much space as possible. It gets worse on sundays after all the churches empty out, too.
