Ronald Binge was a British composer and arranger of light music. This is probably his best known composition. It was originally simply titled Andante cantabile, although the original (1951) orchestral manuscript parts in Binge's own hand show the title The Man In The Street. In 1952 he renamed it to reflect the dawn of a new Elizabethan Age in 1952.

Wonderfully beautiful. Thank you for posting this! I noticed this instrument in the introduction to Strauss' Tales from the Vienna Woods. I thought it must have been sort of lute or something. I finally figured out that it was a zither. Your videos have been wonderfully instructive in how to play the instrument, plus you are an excellent musician. Thank you again!
