Показать описание
Today, I am visiting Ajloun Castle & Jerash castle which is a 12th-century castles and a must-watch place if you are coming to Jordan. Entry ticket is part of the Jordan pass or can be brought at the entrance for 3 JD.
* Jerash: Jerash is 50km away from Amman, so to reach Jerash one has to book a taxi or Bus. One will get a shared taxi from Husseini Mosque to taborbour bus station for 2-3 JD, and from there you will get a bus for Jerash
To book a taxi one can use Uber and Careem applications. And bus you will get it from Tabarbour bus station (North Bus Station).
* Ruins well Hostel - Hostel was very nice and clean it cost me 750 INR. It has good facilities and is best for solo travellers.
* Ajloun - At Ajloun I visited the fruit market and Crockery market. To visit the castle in Ajloun will cost you 1 JD maximum not more than that (from Market to Castle ) because it is just 3.5km from the city. To enter the castle one has to purchase a ticket, as I have Jordan Pass with me I do not have to buy tickets. Castle was very beautiful and a worth going place. They have very well maintained the equipment, ammunition and everything. The amazing thing about the castle is one can feel cold inside the castle and hot outside castle. It opens at 7 AM and closes at 8 PM. The entry ticket was 25 INR.
* Jerash Castle - Jerash castle was just 10 mins walk from my hostel, and if you are in Amman then you can come to Jerash castle in the morning. From Amman, Jerash Castle is 25-30 Km by bus. In a single day, you can complete Ajloun castle and Jerash Castle. Jerash castle entry cost was 50 Rs. and they also accept Jordan Pass. The place is very beautiful and one has to walk a lot so be ready for that, bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. Do come after 3:30 PM to avoid sunlight. This place, many Hollywood movies shot here. Horse riding is also done here with a 7000-seat capacity.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did today, see you all with another place and another story to explore.
