In the morning we start from Amman 60 km north to Ajloun Castle.
Since this castle is small and sometimes crowded with tourists, we visit it early in the morning.
Ajloun Castle is a 12th-century fortress built under the rule of the military leader Saladin in northern Jordan. The castle is 1250 meters above sea level.
The fortress served as a defense against the Crusaders.
On the way back to Amman we made a very long stop in Jerash. (4 hours – and that wasn’t enough to see everything).
