I’ve always taken the “state of mind” idea of drugs literally, and it kinda helps understand the differences and similarities between drugs. If you think of being sober as “default brain mode”, and the highs of off weed and shrooms as “thc mode” and “psilocybin mode”, then it becomes clear that all these different states of the brain represent all of the possible neurological configurations the brain could have. And potentially, if/when medical science advances to the point of understanding the brain, these configurations or states of the brain could be achieved manually through surgery or other unknown means. All this conjecture is coming from a brain in thc mode by the way, to give you some context haha

I find it interesting a person or gov can say, "you can't have or take that drug" but you can skydive drive a car, shoot guns, drink alcohol, cage fight, idk anything risky, that also gives you a high from the excitement or the adrenaline.

I was hooked on heroin for 15 years, and it took ending up on probation for multiple shoplifting charges over a 2 year peroid, and failing probation for several failed drug screens, then thankfully ended up on drug court which helped me get clean. This was almost 4 years ago today the last time I touched the drug, and life has become so much less stressfull. It took me loosing 14 friends just within 6 years mostly from that fentanyl laced heroin, and 12 overdoses myself to remind me of why I should never go back to that lifestyle. I dont see much harm in folks smoking pot since I personally know what is like to be on it and around others who smoke it and no virtual harm ever became of it, although I don't smoke it since I cant stand the high I am supportive of it's legalization.
