That's a teacher to student win . Experience, skill, and craft made the difference as Mike Smith drifted out slightly enough to intimidate the other horse. Both horses could do a lot more waiting in the derby and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. If I was Bob Baffert i would go shopping for Johnny V or Edgar Prado, or even Calvin Borail as there's no substitute for experience.
