I’m from Bulgaria and our country is famous for the rose oil production. It’s very difficult to make but I can assure you…It doesn’t cost THAT much.

Garry Young literally HELD HIS NEWBORN DAUGHTER UNDER WATER because he allegedly believed she could breathe through the umbilical cord. I firmly contest the charge of negligence, it was blatant manslaughter if not murder. Even someone with no medical background has enough common sense not to play around with a child’s life like that, and he should have been sentenced the same as if he’d knowingly left her in a hot car.

That's funny. You only show the "bad side". But you're literally showing documents from the companies own I love it.

I was in YL for 5yrs. The MOST I made was $300 in one month, minus what I spent that month it was actually -$400. My typical commission checks were $30/mo. And I busted ass. I had parties, shared, sent samples. I tried. It was terrible. I am so glad I’m out

“You’re only talking about the negative!” Imagine doing a documentary about Nestlé and saying “well, they MAY be using slave labor, stealing water, and tricking people into becoming dependent on formula when they can’t afford to eat, BUT they also donate some money for rainforest repairs and girls programs!” That would be insane

This video is spot on. A few years ago I was a freelance writer for their marketing team, before I had any idea what YL was or that it was even an MLM. I did various projects for them for about a year (promo videos, mostly). When Gary passed, I was roped into attending his funeral. I left the funeral after about 2 hours of eulogies, songs, etc. (I was told it lasted about 5 hours). I sat through story after story of Gary communicating with animals, miracle healings, and his "saving people." I thought it was odd and that he was just a really eccentric guy, but then I attended the YL convention (again, for work). I don't want to hate on people who are into oils. I'm just saying that Gary and Mary Young weren't just selling snake oil—they worshiped it and encouraged others to as well, at the expense of thousands of dollars for the majority of their members.

For clarification greenwashing isn't just capitalizing on the demand for environmentally conscious products, it's when companies exaggerate how green their products are in order to get customers to pay a premium for products because they are making the customer think they are environmentally better when they really aren't. Its really messed up because it takes market share away from products that actually are environmentally conscious and do make impacts on recycling, energy and water use, etc. Sadly, this isn't only common in MLMs- examples of greenwashing are Keurig, H&M, Shein, Dawn Soap, etc. Sorry for the ranty comment this is just something I'm really passionate about lmao

And the way your upline explains having to spend your money each month “it’s not fair or moral for us to sell products we’re not actively using- so spend and show how great they are and you’ll make all your money back”

So glad I woke up and got out

Great video. You are officially my favorite anti mlmer. You are well spoken, clear, concise, fair, and respectful. You have short intros, get to your points in a timely and entertaining manor. You seem to actually want to educate rather than just wanting to hear yourself talk like some. Fantastic job. I hope your channel continues to grow quickly because you deserve it.👏👏👏

There were several moms at the church I used to attend who were either pushing Young Living or doTERRA, and they were making these kind of outlandish, borderline 'practicing medicine without a license' claims. One of the women was adamant these oils could cure autism. She had an autistic son, and she was trying everything to "fix" him. That was all I needed to know about these companies.

Attended my first YL event a few weeks ago. The medical claims made by the rep hosting the class, along with the reps attending, were CRAZY! (YL can cure & prevent cancer for starters.) The hosting rep said when she started YL over a decade ago, she was ## pounds overweight and in poor health, that YL fixed all of her health issues. Not dogging on her but she looked to still be ## pounds overweight and throughout the night said she couldn’t eat gluten and also mentioned other health issues she had. Huh? I thought YL cured her ailments? I do believe there can be a time and place for EO’s but they are NOT the end all to be all! After my own sporadic experiences selling for MLM’s and being a customer since 1992, I FINALLY opened my eyes in 2018 and wised up. (I’m a slow learner. 😂) I just had to go to this event to see what kind of claims they would make. Didn’t purchase a thing.

Great video! When I first started dating my wife 10 years ago most of her family and friends were into Young living, which I had never heard of. It took one talk for me to use the term "pyramid scheme" and immediately say I wasn't interested. I was in their bad books for years but eventually they found out.

You should do Herbalife! I find that one interesting because it’s part of store fronts!

I subscribed to the cleaning kit with YL and it didn’t matter how many times I reached out to the rep I went through or YL themselves, they kept trying to charge my card. Honestly that turned me away more than anything. Their cleaning stuff is okay but it’s more aesthetically pleasing than anything.

As a former Beautycounter consultant who is now binging your videos I am so fascinated by the way you use the term “greenwashing” vs how we Beautycounter consultants did. When we said it we referred to companies who were not as “clean and safe and transparent” as we were jumping on the “clean” bandwagon. But when you use it you mean a company that uses clean or the environment or safety as a way to manipulate the consumer. And I’m like Whoa 😮 that’s what we totally did! And what the companies we were calling out did. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

I once was blind but now I see.

Can you PLEASE do a deep dive in Scentcy. My Ex Best Friend is a rep. I tried talking to her when we were talking. She thinks she is making money, but yet she doesn’t do a profit & loss document. She paid 99$ for a kit. She was so happy she made 200$ I told her no you did not you need to deduct your kit & the other shit you buy . Ugh HELP these huns are all around me . I found a catalog in my mailbox from my neighbor . I need to share on my social media.. PLEASE

Ever since I watched illuminaughti's video on Young Living and learned about the alleged death of his child, I dropped all support for the company. I'm anti-MLM but yet wanted to still buy their oils because I thought it was my only way of getting them. But that video had me saying that even if I never got another bottle of essential oils again, I couldn't support a guy who has that kind of history, whether it was intentional or not.

18:16 the way the comp plan works makes something I see on FB make sooo much more sense! I hsve a friend who about once a month would (I don't see thise posts anymore, not sure if she's in YL now) post saying she's sending out an order and let her now if you want to buy anything. She would buy somebody's product herself (contributing to her PV) and then give it to the person where they would then pay her back.

I found your channel last week and I have been binge watching since. My BFF’s wife got hooked into YoungLiving and I will never forget her up line trying to tell me her oils would heal my lupus. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I went to a health fair and someone was selling young living. They were so proud that Gary Young swam in the lavender oil.
