The lady whose body was found a year later in storage, may of been involved in a stolen organ crime. That's when human organs are sold on the black market. That happened to a boyfriend of a family member of mine. His body had organs missing after he was removed from where he died. His missing organs couldn't be accounted for or explained why they were gone. They noticed they were missing when his body was examined at the funeral home.

Regarding the young woman who died in the hospital, if the hospital didn’t have the family’s contact info then they’d have had no way to notify them.

At the hospital I worked at, we could only see discharges/deaths in the system for the last 72hrs or so…so if the mother didn’t call for a week then the employee likely couldn’t have found her name in the system as deceased. We also don’t know if the young woman had an extra block on her chart requesting not to be identified to callers.

Not saying the hospital did everything right, but based on the limited info in this report, I can totally see how this could happen.
